KAMA MACD Trend — Trading Indicator for MT5

Adaptive KAMA baseline + MACD momentum for MT5 — clean trend bias, early flips, pullback timing and practical alerts.

KAMA MACD Trend (MT5)

KAMA MACD Trend combines Kaufman’s Adaptive Moving Average (KAMA) with MACD momentum. KAMA adapts to volatility (fast in trends, slow in chop), while MACD shows impulse vs. pullback via zero‑line and signal crosses. Together they deliver a clean bias, early flips, and actionable alerts in MetaTrader 5.

Overview

What it shows

  • KAMA baseline — adaptive MA; its slope/side defines bias and trailing reference.
  • MACD histogram/lines — momentum thrusts, zero‑cross, signal cross, and divergence context.
  • (Optional) arrows/alerts — KAMA slope flips, MACD zero/signal crosses, KAMA retests.

Trade ideas

  1. Bias = KAMA slope + MACD sign: long when KAMA slopes up and MACD ≥ 0; short when slope down and MACD ≤ 0.
  2. First pullback to KAMA after a fresh MACD zero‑cross — enter on hold/bounce.
  3. Break → Retest: after price closes beyond KAMA with MACD confirmation, take the retest to KAMA for continuation.
  4. (Optional) Fade extremes: within ranges, fade exhausted MACD spikes against a flat KAMA (seek confirmation).

Signals

Inputs that matter

  • KAMA length / fast‑slow / efficiency — adaptivity vs smoothness.
  • MACD fast/slow/signal — momentum speed and filtering.
  • Price source — Close/Typical/Weighted.
  • Alerts — slope flip, zero‑cross, signal cross, KAMA retest.
  • Colors/widths — quick visual read.

Suggested usage

  • M5–M15: intraday pullbacks with trend filter.
  • M30–H4: swing continuations with KAMA bias.
  • Daily+: portfolio regime/tilt filter.
