TMA Line Extreme (MT4)
TMA Line Extreme tracks Triangular Moving Average (TMA) swings and flags extreme distance from the TMA band. It’s a practical tool for mean‑reversion pullbacks and for filtering late trend chases in MetaTrader 4.
What it shows
- TMA baseline + envelopes: the dynamic mean and its band.
- Extreme tags: when price stretches unusually far from the TMA.
- Color/alerts (if enabled) on crosses, band touches and normalization.
Trade ideas
- Fade extremes: look for reversal setups when price tags an extreme and snaps back toward TMA.
- Trend filter: in strong trends, avoid counter‑moves until price normalizes inside the band.
- Pullback confirmation: after a tag, wait for a hook back across signal/median to enter with tight risk.
Inputs that matter
- TMA period — defines the mean and envelope distance.
- Envelope factor/method — how wide the extreme band is.
- Source price — Close/Typical/Weighted.
- Alerts — band touch, cross, normalization.
- Colors/widths — quick visual read.
Suggested usage
- M5–M15: intraday mean‑reversion + session filters.
- M30–H4: swing pullbacks and late‑trend avoidance.
- Combine with ATR stops and structure levels.
